Port of Leith Housing Association opens its doors on Scottish Housing Day
Port of Leith Housing Association (PoLHA) opened its doors on 21 September to celebrate Scottish Housing Day, inviting its tenants along to find out more about how the organisation is run.
Tenants took part in a guided tour of the Constitution Street-based office where they were welcomed by Keith Anderson, PoLHA’s chief executive, and other members of staff. Tenants heard about the work PoLHA is doing before having some lunch with staff.
The tenants enjoyed the visit, with one commenting: “It was a very enjoyable tour and the staff were all very helpful and good at answering questions. I am very impressed with the work that POLHA is doing and glad that community is a strong aspect of their function as it is very much needed.”
Keith said: “This is the first time we have opened our doors to our tenants this way, and getting behind the scenes on the work we do. I am very pleased so many people took the time out to find out more about the wide range of things we do to support people and improve our neighbourhoods to be great places in which to live and enjoy.”
