Procast Group to transform properties across Barrhead, Neilston and Newton Mearns
Hamilton-based firm Procast Group has started work transforming homes across East Renfrewshire as a part of a £725,000 project.
The group is carrying out roof and render renewal works across 33 social properties in the East Renfrewshire Council area.
Working in Barrhead, Neilston and Newton Mearns, Procast aims to have the 20-week project, which started in October, completed by March 2025.
It is hoped that the new installations, once completed, will improve energy efficiency, provide tenants with savings and lead to better-insulated homes, as well as improving the visual facade of the properties.
It is also hoped that the project will have a hugely positive impact on living conditions for tenants as well as help to reduce their energy bills and protect their homes from the elements.
The company, which currently employs more than 130 staff is a market leader in retrofitting work and innovative multi-trade contracting projects across Scotland and the North of England.
Derek Innes, owner and managing director of Procast Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with East Renfrewshire Council on this project over the winter months.
“The improvements are essential for residents and will provide more efficient, warmer and more appealing homes for tenants across the towns. We hope to have the works completed by March next year, with the finished outcome providing noticeable results for the tenants.”
