In response to the changes to welfare benefits, with the introduction of full service Universal Credit to Edinburgh later this year, Prospect wanted to create a facility where its tenants can get help to manage their Universal Credit benefit. It is also keen to support local voluntary agencies and groups by providing additional meeting space.

The Community Room offers the following facilities to our tenants and local agencies:

A number of tenants and staff formally marked the opening of the room last week.

The first person to use the room said: “It looks lovely and the sofas make it feel relaxed. It was very useful to be able to print documents for housing benefit.”
