Prospect proposes below-inflation rent increase
Prospect Community Housing is consulting its tenants for their views on proposals to increase rents by 1.6 per cent from April 2017.
One of the Association’s objectives is to have inflation only rent increases, something it has achieved for the last two years.
Prospect uses the Retail Price Index to determine the inflation figure, which this year stands at 1.8 per cent.
The Association said: “We think it’s important to keep rents as affordable as possible so this year we are proposing a lower than inflation increase of 1.6 per cent. With this increase we will still be able to invest in our properties and provide value for money services.”
All tenants who take part in the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 of Love To Shop vouchers.
