Feline Good in Fernhill
Children living in Fernhill have created a “spect-CAT-ular” graffiti art mural with help from professional art group Art Pistol.
The mural has transformed the bare concrete and brick walls of a car park in to a colourful and exciting work of art.
The project was completed as part of a West of Scotland Housing Association-funded Easter programme seeking to engage young people is positive arts activity within their local community. The mural was created in partnership with Art Pistol who are responsible for delivering some of Glasgow’s finest murals and made sure the Fernhill project was as unique as the rest.
Ali from Art Pistol said: “I want to say a big thank you to the local kids and artists alike that helped us transform the walls. It was great to work on a community art project that received so much interest.”
Janette Oliver from the West of Scotland Fernhill Tenants and Residents Association said the group were “absolutely delighted” with the mural and added that it was “great to see something that involved so much talent in the local community”.
