Queens Cross employee recognised as young leader in housing
Queens Cross Housing Association’s Lindsay Roches has been recognised as one of the UK’s young leaders in housing.
The top ‘30 under 30’ award highlights the top 30 brightest leaders in the housing sector under the age of 30.
Performance and service improvement officer Ms Roches placed number 17 in the annual list produced by industry magazine 24housing.
Joining the housing sector in 2016, she worked with Wheatley Group as a GEM graduate management trainee and credits her graduate programme as being a big help as she started her career in housing.
She said: “The graduate programme with Wheatley did everything. I was mentored very closely and given responsibility, experience and I was really supported to push on.”
After completing her graduate programme, Ms Roches spent 15 months at a local authority before joining the business strategy team at Queens Cross in January this year.
Ms Roches added: “It’s nice to be recognised as a young leader. The years I’ve been in housing so far have gone in quite quick! There have been lots of good things for me to work on, think about and develop at Queens Cross. There’s no limit to what you can get involved with across the organisation.”
Speaking of the awards, Mark Lawrence, editor of 24housing, said: “The Young Leaders competition shows the incredible amount of young talent there is in the sector, ready and eager to impress. Many of these are looking at becoming future chief executives in the sector.”
