Regulator publishes new guide for tenants and service users
The Scottish Housing Regulator has published a short guide to help tenants and service users find out more about its work.
‘How We Regulate: A guide for tenants and service users’ also explains how tenants can find out about their landlord, what they can expect from it, and how they can make a complaint.
Iain Muirhead, director digital and business support, said: “We’ve written this guide to help tenants, people who are homeless, and other service users find out more about who we are and what we do to protect their interests.
“To support the guide, we’ve also developed two short videos about who we are and what we do and what tenants and service users can do if they have a concern about a landlord.
“I hope tenants and service users find it informative. I would encourage landlords to promote the guide and videos to people who use their services.”
The Regulator is developing a British Sign Language (BSL) version of the guide which it will launch in the coming months.
