Green light for 34 new flats in Paisley
Renfrewshire Council has approved plans to build 34 flats and three ground floor commercial units at 22 Bridge Street in Paisley.
The Millhouse development will deliver 34 two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, some with balconies, over five floors on an L-plan footprint occupying both the street and the Cart River Walkway.
Finished in zinc cladding, cream render, textured buff brick and buff stone under a recessed flat roof the project will incorporate an amenity space to the front as well as a terrace connecting restaurants to the river.
Richard McFadzean, managing director of Nixon Blue, said: “We will breathe new life into this riverside location and encourage people to live by the water and enjoy the splendid views opposite Paisley Abbey. Following on from our first successful development in Paisley at Old Sneddon Street, we are delighted to transform our next site in Paisley stunning apartments and create a new landmark for the town.”
Work to demolish the former nightclub has already commenced to make way for the new development.
