At its meeting in December, the board unanimously decided that tenants will not be subject to a rent increase on 1st April 2021.

PHA confirmed that this freeze will also apply to service charges and owners’ management fees.

PHA CEO Aileen McGuire said: “We are very conscious that it has been an extremely challenging time for not only Parkhead but beyond and the pandemic has undoubtedly had a significant impact on those in our community. The board were unanimous in their decision and we are all of the view this is the right thing to do given these difficult circumstances.”
