Report outlines positive impact of Ypeople
The work of homelessness charity Ypeople has affected the lives of more than 4,000 people across the length and breadth of Scotland over the last year, a new impact report has revealed.
The charity’s mission is to support positive change in people’s lives, which it has achieved thanks to the hard work and dedication of more than 200 staff and volunteers.
The report sets out the impact of its work across three key areas;
- Supporting positive change in the lives of people affected by homelessness;
- Supporting positive change in the lives of children and young people going through a tough time;
- Supporting positive change by enabling the people supported to be heard and learning how the charity provides the support they need, wherever they are on their journey.
Janet Haugh, Ypeople CEO, said: “This report highlights our impact through numbers, however the impact we have is all about people, not numbers, so we have also shared some stories from the people we support to help demonstrate the impact on their life.
“Ypeople’s work is more important than ever. We have all adapted quickly to the impact of COVID-19, and we will continue to adapt as our lives reset to a new normal. Here at Ypeople, we are immensely proud of the positive changes we have been able to support over the last year, but we also look forward to listening and learning how we can support even more people in the year ahead.”
