The initiative sets out aims for housing in the region over the next five years. Members of the public have until August 18 to submit their views.

Cllr Allan Henderson said: “Housing is one of life’s basic needs. Everyone should have a good quality home that they can afford to live in and heat. Good quality, affordable housing helps people to enjoy better health and achieve their full potential. Good housing also contributes to stronger communities that benefit everyone living in them.

“We want to know what you think about our strategy and the actions we are proposing. You can find the strategy on our website together with a short survey.”
