Ruchill Furniture unveils new website
A trail-blazing community group which helps people in need to furnish their homes has launched its new website.
Ruchill Furniture has been a huge success and been operating since 1992 by collecting and distributing unwanted furniture to families and individuals.
Last year Ruchill Furniture moved to new premises at 127 Glenavon Road adjacent to the Glenavon multi-storey flats in north Maryhill.
The project has a strong environmental role, too, by preventing furniture going to landfill and providing it with a new lease of life in someone’s home.
The shop is open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and access to what it has to offer can also be made via referral from welfare agencies and housing associations.
Ruchill Furniture is also able to refer people to other agencies and organisations for further support if necessary.
A spokesperson for Ruchill Furniture said: “The new website will help us reach even more people and in turn help those in real need.”
