Sanctuary Scotland delivers 42 affordable homes in Newton Mearns
A development of 42 new affordable homes in Newton Mearns has been completed by Sanctuary Scotland.
The homes at Mallets Rise feature a mix of one and two-bedroom flats, alongside two, three and four-bedroom houses.
All of the properties have been made available to local residents for social rent and are being managed by housing provider Sanctuary Scotland.
The £5.49m development has been supported with a grant from the Scottish Government and built by David Wilson Homes West Scotland under a section 75 agreement.
They form part of a wider site of 165 homes being constructed.
Gillian Lavety, Sanctuary’s development director – Scotland, said: “These homes are another example of our work to deliver high-quality new housing with key partners in local communities.
“The work strengthens our existing housing portfolio across East Renfrewshire and has helped improve the area’s affordable housing stock.”
Stuart Dodson, development director for David Wilson, added: “This site is another great example of David Wilson homes working in partnership with Sanctuary to deliver a high-quality development of both private and affordable housing.”
