Sandra Cameron

Sandra, who served on the management committee since 2002, passed away suddenly on Saturday 7th March 2020 aged 59.

She will be remembered by her fellow committee members and staff for her commitment to the Association and to community-controlled housing, her passion to end homelessness, the support she gave to the Association staff and the kindness she showed to everyone.

Linda Malone, chairperson of New Gorbals Housing Association, said: “Sandra was a great neighbour, friend and colleague, and a hugely valued and dedicated member of our committee.

“She was generous to a fault, did regular charity work at Mary’s Meals and elsewhere, and really cared about others. Sandra was a real character with a wonderful sense of humour and she will be greatly missed.”

The thoughts of everyone at the Association are with Sandra’s family and close friends.

Sandra’s funeral service will take place at St John Duns Scotus on Friday 20th March at 10am.
