SBHA and partners donate £1,000 to local men’s mental health charity
Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) and its partners are supporting the newly established Scottish Borders branch of ANDYSMANCLUB.
SBHA, together with Jewson Partnership Solutions (East Scotland), Sidey, and Keith McLean Carpets, are delighted to be supporting local men’s mental health charity ANDYSMANCLUB, by donating a total of £1,000. The UK-wide charity has recently launched a free peer-to-peer support group for all men in the Scottish Borders, based in Galashiels.
Julia Mulloy, chief executive at SBHA, said: “SBHA is pleased to be supporting ANDYSMANCLUB which provides men in the Scottish Borders with a safe and friendly space to meet up and talk. We recognise that, particularly at this time of year, the impact of poor mental health can be devastating for individuals and their families. We value the work that ANDYSMANCLUB is doing to challenge the stigma of men’s mental health by encouraging men to talk.”
Jennifer Millar, partnership account manager – East Scotland for Jewson Partnership Solutions, said: “Giving back to our communities where we live and work is a priority for Jewson Partnership Solutions. In partnership with SBHA, we are delighted our contribution will help fund a vital service for men in the Scottish Borders.”
Alex McClintock, project development champion, ANDYSMANCLUB added: “A huge ANDYSMANCLUB thank you to SBHA, Jewson Partnership Solutions, Sidey and Keith McLean Carpets, for this very generous donation. This money will not only help us to grow the Galashiels Club, but also to expand further in the Borders. If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to, especially at this time of year, please reach out to ANDYSMANCLUB as we’re here to help.”
