Scotland’s Housing Network to acquire CD Consultancy
Scotland’s Housing Network (SHN) is to acquire CD Consultancy (CDC) from April 1st next year, it announced at its Annual Gathering today.
SHN has enjoyed a decade-long partnership with CDC in delivering validation work and the acquisition allows the service to continue.
Christine Dugan, the founder of CDC, has decided to step down after 13 successful years and is delighted to pass the torch to SHN. She expressed her confidence in SHN’s ability to uphold the high standards and quality of service that CDC clients have come to expect.
In preparation for the merger, both organisations have been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure a seamless transition. CDC has been offering expert training, advice, guidance, and mentoring to SHN, enabling them to hit the ground running in April. Concurrently, SHN has been integrating this new service into their established portfolio, ensuring it aligns with its values as a registered charity.
Ross Morris will lead the delivery of the new services on behalf of SHN, benefiting from Christine’s excellent training and meticulous approach. Christine will continue to provide quality assurance services to SHN throughout 2025/26, ensuring continuity and excellence.
Ross said: “Working with Christine over the last few years has been a true honour, and I have benefited greatly from her knowledge, support and guidance during this time. I look forward now to taking this service forward on behalf of SHN and continuing Christine’s work as a critical friend to the sector.”
Christine Dugan stated: “I am thrilled to see CD Consultancy join forces with Scotland’s Housing Network. This acquisition ensures that the high standards and quality of service built over the years will continue to benefit the sector. I have full confidence in SHN’s ability to carry forward CDC legacy and am excited to see the positive impact this merger will have on landlords.”
Andrea Finkel-Gates, CEO of SHN, added: “It has been a privilege to work with Christine over the years and to learn from her vast knowledge and experience. This acquisition is a natural expansion of the services we already offer, having delivered level one validation exercises for many years. We are delighted that SHN can ensure this fuller service remains available to the sector, maintaining the exacting standards that landlords have come to expect from CDC. 2025 marks SHN’s 30th anniversary, this is a wonderful way to begin our celebrations.”
CDC’s books for 2024/25 remain open, and all prebooked commissions beyond 1st April 2025 will proceed as scheduled. Clients will be contacted directly.
