Scottish Borders Housing Association AGM focuses on the future
Scottish Borders Housing Association recently held its Annual General Meeting, welcoming shareholders to celebrate the year’s achievements.
While the focus of last year’s 20th anniversary event was on the association’s journey over the previous two decades, this year’s AGM had its eyes firmly on the future, with an interactive session aimed at clarifying strategic priorities for the next five years.
Guests were invited to visit ‘Imagination Stations’-themed stalls set up around the room – where they were invited to identify the areas they thought the association should look to focus on over the next five years.
The event, which was facilitated by Paul Smart and Ross Martin of ScotIncGrowth, followed on from a series of engagement events held across the Borders over the Summer, where tenants and residents were invited to share their views.
Following the interactive session, SBHA’s chief executive Julia Mulloy explained how the feedback will be used to help create SBHA’s Strategic Plan for the next five years.
The meeting also confirmed the appointment of two new board members, Ray Licence and Robin Dodyk.
Chair Robin Hill thanked those board members who stepped down during the year: David Cressey, John Paton-Day, Anthony Burnette, and Kenny Simpson, as well as Julie Black, who stepped down from the customer board.
There was also a moment of remembrance for former board and Scottish Borders Tenants Organisation member Allen Tills, who passed away earlier this year.
