Scottish Borders Housing Association appoints Henry Coyle as director
Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) has appointed Henry Coyle as their new director of assets and property services.
Henry has over twenty years’ experience working in the social housing sector, joining SBHA from the City of Edinburgh Council and bringing experience of regeneration projects, community engagement and neighbourhood services.
Henry said: “I started my career in social housing at Tweeddale District Council as a housing trainee in 1995 and I’m excited about working back in the Borders again. SBHA’s very much a tenant-focussed organisation, innovative and forward-thinking and it was very much this ethos which attracted me to this company and I’m delighted to be part of the team.
“I’m looking forward to leading my team to deliver improvements to tenants’ homes and our new build programme and refurbishment programmes. SBHA has a strong track record of working with Tenants and I look forward to working in partnership with Scottish Borders Tenants Organisation (SBTO) to improve repair and maintenance services and ensuring that we deliver great places to live.
“This year we will develop new ways of working with Tenants to address issues and priorities in their local areas through the SBHA Community Teams – with a strong emphasis on improving communal areas and open spaces, alongside delivering our investment programme for Tenants’ homes.”
In his new role, Henry will be leading the SBHA Stock Investment programme, the Repairs & Maintenance Services and the development programme for new homes.
The Association will be investing over £11 million in Tenants’ homes this year and continuing with its regeneration and new build programme across the Borders, building on the success of the works in progress at Stonefield, Hawick (a £10 Million demolition, refurbishment, and new-build programme in the town).
