Scottish Housing Regulator marks retirement of board member Bob Gil
Bob Gil has retired as a board member of the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR).
Mr Gil joined the SHR board as a member in July 2017 and has served two terms.
George Walker, SHR chair, said: “We’re very grateful for Bob’s significant input to SHR’s work. Bob has been an excellent board colleague and source of expertise. On behalf of all my fellow board members and the SHR staff team we would like say thank you to Bob and wish him the very best for the future.”
Bob Gil added: “I have very much enjoyed my time at SHR. I would like to thank George and all the SHR team for supporting me during my time at SHR.”
Bob is a qualified public sector (IPFA) accountant, who came to SHR with a wealth of experience including over 25 years’ in the public sector. He is a freelance project management consultant and is on the board of trustees of the charity Start Up Stirling. He spent eight years on the board of management of Forth Valley College. He has also worked as a business support manager for Raploch Urban Regeneration Company and for FESFM a facilities management company.
