Scottish Housing Regulator streamlines its requirements of RSLs
The Scottish Housing Regulator has published revised regulatory guidance that will streamline its information requirements of RSLs.
The regulator drew strong support when it consulted on its proposed changes to the guidance earlier this year. The streamlined guidance, which takes effect on 31 August, includes consents, tenant consultation, organisational and constitutional change and notifiable events.
Michael Cameron, chief executive, said: “We’ve streamlined our guidance to help make it as straightforward as possible. The consultation feedback showed strong endorsement for the proposed changes. It also helped us fine-tune the final guidance and reduce our regulatory requirements, particularly around notifiable events. I’d like to thank everyone who responded to our consultation.”
In direct response to consultation feedback, the regulator will also produce a summary for tenants of the guidance note on tenant consultation.
The revised guidance, an independent analysis of the feedback, the consultation responses and the regulator’s response are available now on its website.
