Scottish Housing Regulator to stress importance of strong leadership
Scottish Housing Regulator chair, Kay Blair, will today tell the SFHA chairs’ conference about the importance of strong leadership in landlords.
Kay will tell delegates that although the issues and challenges RSLs face may change over time, the need for good governance is a constant. Kay will reflect on the common threads running through the regulator’s Governance Matters series of publications, which are about sharing real life experiences.
Drawing on the most recent governance matters publication, Kay will highlight the crucial importance of the governing body having the skills it needs to lead the organisation and effective working between governing body and senior staff.
In a wide-ranging speech, Kay will also speak about the regulator’s work to publish accessible information on landlords’ performance against the Charter.
The regulator will publish its second annual National Report on the Charter on 9 February.
