SFHA welcomes Sheenagh Simpson to public affairs team
The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) has announced the appointment of Sheenagh Simpson to its public affairs team as a policy lead (maternity cover).
Sheenagh has been a freelance policy and research consultant for the past 12 years and has worked with a wide range of social landlords in Scotland during this time in both the local authority and housing association sectors.
Prior to this she worked in a variety of policy roles in local government in Scotland and England, including working for the Local Government Association, the representative body for councils in England and Wales. She began her career at the DWP (then the DSS) where she spent five years in a number of policy development branches.
She has particular interests in housing management, homelessness and supported housing and is also a board member at Key Housing Association.
The SFHA said all staff are looking forward to working with Sheenagh and both staff and members will benefit from the knowledge and experience she brings to the team.
