Share welcomes new chair and three new board members
The Share 2023 AGM saw the appointment of Allan Scott as chair and three new members to its board.
Allan is vastly experienced having served on a range of committees and is the current chair at Milnbank Housing Association.
“Firstly, it’s an honour and privilege to be elected as chair,” said Allan. “Share is going through a lot of changes such as, a new CEO, new board members, a new office, a new logo, and soon to be launched a new website. But I feel confident that our dedicated staff and board members will see all these changes through and this will be to the benefit of all our members.”
The new board members are:
- Jonathan Giddings-Reid, community regeneration officer at Elderpark Housing Association
- Larke Adger, chief executive officer at West Granton Housing Co-operative
- Susan Bell, chief executive officer at Muirhouse Housing Association
The new board members bring a wealth of experience from the housing sector and are joining the organisation at an exciting period with Share being in the midst of implementing an ambitious three-year strategic plan.
Daryl McIntosh, chief executive at Share, added: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan, Larke and Susan to the board. Their experience and commitment to the sector will be invaluable as we work towards meeting Share’s strategic objectives.
“I’m incredibly proud to be invited to be part of a wonderful organisation, that sets out to provide professional development and support to a sector I have deep affection for” said Jonathan.
“I am very proud to be joining Share’s board at such an exciting time,” said Larke. “Share is a highly respected organisation, and I am looking forward to contributing to the safeguarding of its mission to make a positive impact in the housing sector through learning, development and professional support.”
Susan said: “I am pleased to have been appointed to the board of Share like many in the sector I value Share’s role in developing people and I hope that as a board member I can support them to continue to provide excellent learning and development for those who either work or volunteer within the housing sector across Scotland.”
