Fiona Nicholl has been appointed as Shettleston Housing Association’s new finance and corporate services director.

Currently director of finance and governance at Fife Housing Group, Fiona was previously the long-standing head of finance and corporate services/depute director at Ochil View Housing Association.

She started her career in housing as a management accountant with Scottish Homes’ development funding team in Glasgow and went on to work for FMD Financial Services working with five RSLs in Easterhouse.

Welcoming her appointment, Shettleston’s chair Gillian Johnston said: “The Association is delighted that Fiona has accepted an offer to become our new director of finance and corporate services. Following the appointment of our new CEO, Tony Teasdale, in October, and in light of the impending retirement of our current finance manager Jim Hempsey, we have recently taken the opportunity to restructure our senior staff team.

“Fiona brings with her a wealth of experience and a track record of achievement over many years and we look forward to having her as part of our new executive team.”

Fiona will start work with the Association on August 22.

Fiona said: “I am really pleased to be joining Shettleston Housing Association. As a native of the east end of Glasgow I’m looking forward to assisting the Association in its ongoing regeneration of the local area and in ensuring continuous improvement in all aspects of service delivery. I’m confident that my experience and knowledge will be of value to the Association as it continues its journey.”
