Association chairperson, Janet Allan, said: “I want to thank our Management Board, the Staff Team, and our contractors for their generosity in supporting many households who need assistance with food this Christmas. It also demonstrates our new Business Vision and commitment of trying to achieve ‘Great Homes, Great People and Vibrant Communities’.

“Not only do we offer high quality homes to our tenants, but we also understand that some local people need our assistance at this time of year to have a decent Christmas.”

The contractors to contribute to the donations were Mitie, Saltire, and Daylight Windows.

David Skilling of Ayrshire East Foodbank added: “I want to thank Shire Housing Association and their contractors for their generosity which will help a large number of local people who were facing a food crisis to enjoy a good Christmas.”
