SHR updates Annual Assurance Statement FAQs
The Scottish Housing Regulator has updated its Annual Assurance Statement frequently asked questions (FAQs) to include a regularly asked question about whether landlords should highlight outstanding Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in the Annual Assurance Statement.
Given the importance of tenant and resident safety, the Regulator has advised that if a landlord has not carried out all due EICRs at the point of submitting its Annual Assurance Statement it should identify this in its Annual Assurance Statement.
External factors such as the pandemic or supply chain problems could impact a landlord’s ability to complete all due EICRs. In these cases, the landlord has been encouraged to set out a timeframe for completing them.
