Social activity co-ordinator volunteer required by Bield
Bield’s Crosshill retirement housing development in Port Glasgow is looking for a social activity co-ordinator volunteer to help organise opportunities for social interaction within the development and the wider community.
Michelle McKinnon, manager at Crosshill Gardens, said: “Social activity co-ordinators play a vital role in helping the tenants engage with one another and locals outwith the development.
“We would like the volunteer to assist our tenants with setting up, preparing, serving and clearing up teas and coffees as well as supporting our tenants to assist in running their existing social activities.”
Enquiries are welcome from all people over the age of 16 but not all applications will be successful.
No qualifications are necessary but Bield are looking for volunteers who are interested in working with older people, have good communication skills and are reliable and willing to work as part of a team. Full training and support will be given as well as out-of-pocket expenses.
Bield ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months in this post.
