Social Housing Safety Network Scotland teams up with Brodies

The Social Housing Safety Network Scotland is to work in partnership with UK top 50 law firm Brodies LLP.

Brodies has expertise in many sectors including the social housing sector. The partnership will see the firm deliver legal updates and specialist webinars for Social Housing Safety Network Scotland Network members.

Over the coming months, Amy Anderson, a senior associate in the Health and Safety Team at Brodies LLP, will develop bespoke sessions especially for members and will speak at its Tenant & Resident Safety Annual Conference being held at Hampden Park on 20 & 21 November 2024.

As the Social Housing Safety Network Scotland continues to grow, it will be expanding the work it does with Brodies LLP to bring even more relevant content, including briefings and specialist webinars to further enhance knowledge and shared practice in relation to tenant and resident safety across the sector.

Vicki Cutler, one of the Network co-founders, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to hear that colleagues at Brodies LLP are impressed by the work that the Network is currently doing within the social housing sector in Scotland and that they are keen to support us where they are able to. Their values, like those of the Network, inform everything they do, which is why we’re so excited to be working in partnership with them.”

Brodies LLP has offices across Scotland, including in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness, and offers considerable experience in working with public sector clients, including central and local government, regulatory bodies and housing associations. Its legal director Fiona McLeod is an accredited expert in Housing and Residential Tenancy Law.

Amy Anderson from Brodies LLP added: “I am delighted to be working with The Social Housing Safety Network Scotland. In working together, our aim is to provide useful and pragmatic sessions, which we hope will benefit members now and in the future.”
