The council’s “Your Choice Lettings and Property Management” service took home the prestigious award for “Excellence in the Private Rented Sector” at a special ceremony on Friday 8 November 2024.

Established in 2021, the Your Choice Lettings and Property Management service matches private landlords and tenants, with a focus on security, quality, and affordability.  This approach has strengthened relationships between the Council, landlords, and tenants, fostering a supportive environment and helping prevent homelessness within the private rented sector.

Councillor Martin Kilbride, buildings, housing, and environment portfolio holder for South Ayrshire Council, said: “Congratulations to our housing policy and strategy team – this is a fantastic achievement, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

“The team are going that extra mile to provide quality affordable housing that meets the needs of tenants, while working closely with landlords to provide the best accommodation possible.
