South Lanarkshire tenants to have say on council house rents
Council tenants in South Lanarkshire are being invited to give their views on rent levels for 2017/18 via a survey and a series of meetings.
The local authority said the decision is “hugely important, given the current economic situation, and the pressures on tenants and the council through the UK government’s welfare reform changes”.
Tenants are being encouraged to fill in a survey online and attend local meetings during October and November which will discuss and consider the options for setting the level of rent increase.
