Springfield Partnerships to deliver 100 affordable homes in North Lanarkshire
Housebuilder Springfield Partnerships, part of Springfield Properties, has been given planning consent for 100 affordable homes in Harthill.
The plans, approved by North Lanarkshire Council, will transform the 9.7 acre-site into a mix of two, three and four-bedroom affordable homes.
Residents of the new development will enjoy local amenities within a short walking-distance, including Alexander Peden Primary School, the Harthill Health Centre and local playing fields.
The £13 million scheme and adds to the 641 affordable homes Springfield Partnerships has already had approved for planning across Scotland this year.
Group partnerships managing director at Springfield, Tom Leggeat, said: “The new development is in a great location. It is close to the M8 so is particularly handy for those commuting to Glasgow, Edinburgh and neighbouring towns.
“The construction will bring job opportunities to Harthill and much needed, energy efficient homes that are modern and cheap to run.”
