Stirling Council names new chief executive
Carol Beattie has been appointed by Stirling Council as its new chief executive officer.
The local authority said Ms Beattie was unanimously appointed by the recruitment panel yesterday following a rigorous selection process, chaired by council leader Scott Farmer.
Ms Beattie joined Stirling Council in 2014 as senior manager for economic development and took on the role of interim chief executive in August 2018, following a four-month term as depute chief executive.
She said: “It is an incredible privilege and honour to be given this opportunity. Stirling Council is filled with the most dedicated and hardworking staff and I look forward to continuing our excellent work together to make all of Stirling a place where everyone can thrive.”
