Stirling residents invited to take part in HMO survey
Stirling Council is looking for the public’s views on the subject of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).
HMOs are properties that are privately rented to three or more unrelated persons and require to be licensed to ensure they meet the required standards.
In most cases the creation of a new HMO requires planning approval, and Stirling Council already operates a local planning policy to restrict the number of such properties that can be created.
An online survey has now been created to help gather views about the current arrangements for HMOs - particularly in Stirling city centre – with responses helping inform decisions about whether any additional policy is necessary.
The survey is open until 5pm on Tuesday 16th June.
