Stirling to host 6th annual Private Rented Sector Open Day
Private landlords and agents are being encouraged to register for the upcoming Private Rented Sector Open Day and Conference organised by Stirling Council.
The free annual event provides an opportunity for delegates to hear from national experts in the private rented sector, seek advice and information, and share best practice. The event takes place at Stirling’s Albert Halls on Wednesday May 16, from 1pm to 4.30pm.
Housing portfolio holder for Stirling Council, Councillor Evelyn Tweed, said: “The private rented sector plays an important role in Stirling’s housing landscape, and we are keen to support landlords and agents to continue to raise standards within the sector.
“There has already been significant interest about the Open Day – but places are still available. I would urge anyone interested in attending this free event to book their place soon.
“We are pleased to provide an opportunity for our landlords and agents to hear from expert speakers and to share best practice. Last year’s event was very well attended and I’m certain the upcoming Open Day will prove just as successful.”
Speakers include:
Various agencies and services will also attend the Open Day to provide expert advice and information, as part of a dedicated exhibition area. They include the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP), Home Energy Scotland, Police Scotland, Shelter, Stirling City Heritage, SAL, LAS, representatives from approved tenancy deposit schemes and a number of Stirling Council Services.
