Strategic partner sought by Kendoon Housing Association
Kendoon Housing Association has announced it is to seek a formal partnership in the shape of a transfer of engagements to a larger Glasgow-based RSL.
The Association, which owns and manages 318 homes within a three-street radius in the city’s Drumchapel area, is currently engaging with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) about governance issues and is progressing well with its governance improvement plan.
Kendoon currently employs five members of staff.
The decision to seek a strategic partner was the outcome of a strategic options appraisal carried out following the retirement of its director.
Kendoon said it is seeking a formal partnership in the shape of a transfer of engagements to a larger Glasgow-based RSL that shares its beliefs and has the experience, track record and financial strength to deliver the outcome and future its tenants deserve.
Earlier this month Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) revealed it was inviting proposals from suitably qualified affordable housing providers to create or join a group structure.
