Success for Thenue team's KiltWalk charity endeavour

The Thenue team about to start the Kiltwalk from Clydebank

Thenue Housing and its charitable subsidiary Thenue Communities have scored a tartan fundraising triumph in this weekend’s KiltWalk

Members of staff from Thenue took part in Sunday’s KiltWalk to raise money for The Halliday Foundation – Thenue’s chosen charity.

The Halliday Foundation is one of Glasgow’s most inspiring charities and has a close working relationship with Thenue.

Kiltwalkers were invited to don a bit of tartan and complete a walking challenge of their choice opting for either the 22.7 miles from Glasgow Green to Balloch or just over 14 miles from Clydebank to Balloch.

So far, Thenue raised a remarkable £5100 for The Halliday Foundation on the day and further money is expected to still flow in.

Staff member Thomas Ucci, who took par,t said: “Team Thenue deserve huge praise for their efforts. And the choice of recipient for our charity endeavour couldn’t have been more appropriate. We hope the fundraising will enhance the inspirational work of The Halliday Foundation.”

Five thousand people walked from Clydebank to Balloch on Saturday, before another 14,000 heroes took to the streets and paths from Glasgow and Clydebank again all the way to the finish line at Loch Lomond on Sunday.

As walkers set off, £3 million had already been raised, and this figure will rise in the coming days.
