Support available to families in Aberdeen affected by cost of living crisis
Families across Aberdeen are being encouraged to find out what financial support they could be eligible to receive.
The Support for Families information leaflet has been produced by the Financial Inclusion Team for families who are on a low income and have children currently attending school.
Convener of the Anti-Poverty and Inequality committee, Councillor Christian Allard, said: “The ongoing cost of living crisis is an anxious time for so many families across Aberdeen.
“If you are worried about facing difficulties, I would encourage everyone to find out what they may be entitled to.”
The leaflet includes information on grants including Best Start Grants, free school meals, Young Carer Grant and Universal Credit, as well as how to apply.
Information is also available on the School Clothing Grant, where grants can be provided towards the costs of school clothing and footwear and can be used towards winter clothing.
