Taylor Wimpey starts construction on final development in Calderwood

Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has commenced construction on its final development in Calderwood, East Calder.
The milestone follows the recent approval of planning permission from West Lothian Council for 112 new homes, marking the culmination of a decade-long commitment to the
Calderwood masterplan.
The latest development from Taylor Wimpey at Calderwood will feature a selection of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes designed to cater to a wide range of buyers. Sixteen of these homes will be delivered in accordance with West Lothian Council’s affordable homes policy, with a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom properties available.
In addition, the development will contribute £5 million towards local education facilities as per the requirements of the Section 75 legal agreement with West Lothian Council.
Pauline Mills, technical director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We are thrilled to have commenced construction on our final development in Calderwood. This marks our sixth and final phase of new homes in this area, and it is rewarding to see the masterplan come to life after 10 years of work. Our teams are dedicated to delivering an impressive choice of new homes for prospective buyers in East Calder.”
