Tesco Bank plans mixed-use development at South Gyle Broadway

Tesco Bank has unveiled plans to create more than 300 new homes, retail, commercial space and a nursery at South Gyle Broadway in Edinburgh.
A proposal of application notice (PAN) lodged last month laid out proposals from joint developers BDW Trading Limited and Tesco Personal Finance PLC to renovate the Tesco Banking site at 2 South Gyle Crescent.
The application has now been approved by the City of Edinburgh Council, kicking off a period of consultation.
Designed by EMA, the development aims to deliver ‘Residential, Offices, Retail, Financial, Professional & Other Services, Food & Drink, Non-Residential Institution and Assembly & Leisure’.
A previous PAN to create 328 apartments and a hotel at the site was withdrawn.
An online consultation event will take place on Thursday between 3pm - 7pm.
