Highland Council launches mutual exchange policy consultation
Housing partners throughout the Highlands are asking tenants to have their say on proposed changes to the mutual exchange policy.
Highland Council is proposing to update the criteria used to make decisions on mutual housing exchanges, which help around 180 households move each year.
Highland Housing Register partners are doing this together. The Highland Housing Register is a partnership of social landlords in Highland which includes the Highland Council, Albyn Housing Society, Cairn Housing, Caledonia Housing Association, Lochaber Housing Association, Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association and Pentland Housing Association.
The proposed changes aim to make better use of funding; meet housing needs and; ensure a consistent decision-making process.
Tenants are invited to complete a short survey to record their views on what they think of the proposed changes.
The consultation closes on September 21.
