Thenue Housing appoints Gary Naylor as new CEO
Thenue Housing has appointed Gary Naylor, currently Thenue’s head of community housing, as its new chief executive officer.
Mr Naylor will take up his new position in the spring and succeeds Charles Turner who is retiring.
Mr Naylor has been with Thenue for two years and prior to that was an experienced repair and neighbourhood regional manager. He has an impressive track record of working in the non-profit organisation management industry with Peaks & Plains Housing Trust in Macclesfield, near Manchester.
He has seen his career develop along the housing management route with both Irwell Valley Housing Association in Salford and Wigan & Leigh Housing in Lancashire.
Mr Naylor is just the third chief executive of Thenue in its 41 year history with Charles Turner holding the post for 17 years. Prior to Charles, Thenue’s CEO was Marion Jacobs – both of whom have been widely respected leaders within the housing association movement.
Pauline Casey, chair of the Association, said “I am delighted to make this announcement. After a lengthy and thorough recruitment process, Gary was the outstanding candidate, bringing a mix of experience, personal values, vision and enthusiasm to this unique post as Group Chief Executive
“We are confident he will bring additional and new skills to our team. We are looking forward to delivering our high standard of service to all customers and continuing the close working relationship we have between the Staff and the Board.”
Gary Naylor added: “I am absolutely delighted to become the next Chief Executive of Thenue Housing and aim to build on the excellent growth and achievements delivered under Charles Turner
“I’m proud to take on this exciting opportunity and will work closely with our hardworking Board and Staff, focusing on the future delivery of excellent services for our tenants and customers.”
