Thistle Housing Association hosts community Halloween event
Over 140 members of the Toryglen community came together to enjoy a ‘Spooky GLOW party’ on Hallows Eve, an event organised by Thistle Housing Association.
Cornerstone Hall, based in the heart of the Toryglen Community, GLOWED for the duration of the event whilst families were fully entertained.
Thistle’s community development officer, Carly Monaghan, said: “The Halloween party was a first for the Association. We are absolutely thrilled a good time was had by all who attended. Thistle Housing Association like to ensure any event we hold is worthy of people coming out their homes for, particularly in the cold weather.
“The community obviously appreciate these types of events and the effort our staff put into it, hence the reason the engagement was so strong.”
Hundreds of costumes were on show as well as the carved pumpkins display outside the venue. Inside a fully decorated hall, entertainers thrilled the families with a UV lights party and foam machines.
Toryglen resident Miss McCann enthused: “It was absolutely fantastic. The fact it was free too, families can come together without worrying about cost. A brilliant community event, the kids have had a ball.”
