Three new board members appointed at CIH Scotland
Joining the board are Sandra McLeod of River Clyde Homes, Phillip Morrison-Gale from Hjaltland Housing Association and housing consultant Graeme Hamilton. These appointments take place after the CIH AGM which will be held later this year.
In addition, Evie Copland has been formally appointed to the board after being co-opted, while Margaret Moore, John Kerr and Esther Wilson have been reappointed after completing one term.
Sandra is an executive director at River Clyde Homes where she has worked since 2014. She has 34 years of experience working in social housing, previously working for Scottish Special Housing Association, Scottish Homes, Cube Housing Association, and the Wheatley Group.
Phillip is the head of housing at Hjaltland Housing Association in Shetland. Originally from Northumberland, he is also director at CAB in Shetland and previously worked for Blackwood, Link Group and Clúid Housing in the Republic of Ireland.
Graeme, who worked for Wheatley Group and Glasgow City Council for over 30 years has his own consultancy business focusing on project management, change management and digital skills and runs blended learning programmes for the Chartered Institute of Housing diploma and certificate levels through the City of Glasgow College.
Commenting on the new appointments, Esther Wilson, chair of CIH Scotland, said: “We are delighted to welcome three new board members from such diverse backgrounds and experience. They all share our commitment to the profession and the central role of housing in people’s lives, and I know that their wealth of experience across the sector will be invaluable as we go forward.
