TIS appoints new development officer
The Tenants Information Service (TIS) has announced the appointment of Stephen Connor as its new development officer.
The former project policy officer (housing regeneration services) at Glasgow City Council, started in post at the tenant participation promoting organisation this month.
Based within the TIS South Lanarkshire Development Support Project, Stephen will be responsible to providing knowledge, information, and training to tenants throughout the area to influence positive change.
He said: “I am excited to be taking on my new role within TIS, who bring together the skills to assist tenants and landlords to work together more effectively throughout Scotland.
“Working within the support project, in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council, I am passionate about supporting the tenant, resident, and community groups throughout the area to achieve their overall tenant participation strategies.”
Ilene Campbell, TIS chief executive, added: “The staff team at TIS wishes Stephen well in his new post. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organisation, making him the ideal candidate for the job.
“We look forward to working with Stephen to further enhance effective tenant participation strategies, ensuring that tenants and communities are at the heart of consultation and participation approaches, and have a meaningful role in scrutinising and shaping housing services.”
