Trust Housing Association awarded Housing Provider of the Year and inclusive workplace prizes
Trust Housing Association has been named as the ‘Housing Provider of the Year’ and ranked 12th in the top 100 most inclusive workplaces in the UK at the 2021 FREDIE (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Engagement) Awards.
The organisation, which promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion, the National Centre for Diversity, announced the winners of its prestigious FREDIE 2021 Awards list and the Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplaces 2021, last week.
This year’s FREDIEs were held online and showcased, celebrated, and honoured companies as exemplars in promoting excellence and individuals recognised for their contributions and commitment to improving practice and making environments more inclusive.
Rhona McLeod, Trust’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to be recognised at these national awards for our actions and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. We have been leading the housing sector in this field for over 10 years and we are committed to helping to create a more equal society which respects diversity and embeds inclusion.”
Solat Chaudhry, chief executive at the National Centre for Diversity, added: “I send my warmest congratulations to Trust Housing for a well-deserved win and on successfully reaching number 12 in the Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplaces Index 2021. It’s been a challenging year and yet, it has not dented the excellent work that organisations and individuals do in promoting FREDIE best practice.
“All of the winners showed consummate professionalism and wonderful inclusive leadership from the senior management down to all the teams that deliver on the ground, and I congratulate everyone who works so hard day-in-day-out to maintain these high standards.
“Through the work of the FREDIEs we are able to build a better society, and our winners come from a wonderful cross section of private, public, education and charity sectors representing the very best.”
