Urban Union makes donation to Cash for Kids
Urban Union has made a generous four-figure donation to Scottish charity Cash for Kids.
The Urban Union team participated in the Muddy Muckers assault course, taking on 22 obstacles along a 2km track. The team soldiered through muddy terrain to raise funds for Radio Clyde’s Cash for Kids. The charity is dedicated to supporting children who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect.
The team were delighted to have surpassed their £3,000 fundraising target to provide extra support to a local charity close to their hearts.
Managing director at Urban Union, Neil McKay, said: “We are over the moon to have smashed our fundraising target and raised over £3,600 for a great cause that will benefit children specifically in Glasgow. Taking on the course was tough, especially after so much rain, but the team pulled together and kept each other going. Cash for Kids is a fantastic charity that aligns itself closely to our goal of delivering tangible benefits to the communities in which we work. It is amazing to be able to give them a donation that will help vulnerable and disadvantaged children. Thank you to everyone that supported us.”
Urban Union is a multi-award-winning housing and regeneration firm with four developments currently under way in Scotland. These developments are in Laurieston Living and Pollokshaws Living in Glasgow, Pennywell Living in Edinburgh and Muirton Living in Perth.
Laurieston Living is soon to deliver the second new flatted block of homes at its Phase 2 development. The £140 million revitalisation of the Gorbals area will deliver a total of 1,000 mixed tenure homes over four phases.
