Video to inform West of Scotland Housing Association tenants on data protection
West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA) has launched a video for tenants and customers to highlight what the General Data Protection Rules (GDPR) means for them.
The short animation summarises the key points of WSHA’s Data Protection Statement and will be promoted on social media, tenant events and incorporated into the new tenant sign-up process.

Lynne Donnelly, chief executive officer at WSHA, said: “We take the protection of the personal data of our tenants and customers seriously and we wanted to produce a simple video that would summarise quite a complex subject. We are continually looking for ways to go further to innovatively respond to our tenants and customer needs and improve communications with them. We hope this video will give them a clear summary of how we protect their data.”
The video is part of a wider communications plan to inform tenants and customers about GDPR and how it affects how their data is held and used.
The video, produced by Rosie McIntosh of Third Sector Lab, can be viewed on WSHA’s YouTube channel.
