Vigils across Scotland to mark year since Grenfell fire
Vigils are set to take place across Scotland this week to commemorate a year since the Grenfell Tower fire in which 72 people died.
Silent walks are taking place in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee on Thursday 14 June to coincide with the silent walk in London, which is expected to attract over a thousand people.
Later in the week, a solidarity vigil hosted by Living Rent will take place in Glasgow on Saturday 16 June, 1pm at the Royal Concert Hall steps.
Living Rent said its supporters will come together “as tenants … as a mark of respect to the victims and to show our solidarity with their family and friends who are still fighting for justice”.
A list of similar events taking place across the UK has been compiled on the Justice4Grenfell group’s website.
