Website for private tenants and landlords upgraded and relaunched
A free online resource giving tenants and landlords a comprehensive guide to private renting in Scotland was officially relaunched yesterday following a total overhaul.
RentingScotland.org has been redeveloped and launched by Shelter Scotland following a funding award of £43,500 from SafeDeposits Scotland Trust.
The relaunched site includes new animations and graphics to communicate the website’s information in a more visual/interactive way.
RentingScotland.org exists as an independent platform that promotes the Tenant Information Pack, checklist tools for landlords and expert guidance for both parties.
Graeme Brown, director of Shelter Scotland, said: “There have been significant changes to private renting laws in recent months – including the new private residential tenancy in December last year - so the relaunch of RentingScotland.org is good timing and provides informative and up-to-date information on tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities.
“Providing impartial, accurate and up-to-date information will help ensure smooth, successful tenancies.”
