Wemyss Properties submits plans to expand Fife village with 125 new homes
Wemyss Properties Ltd has submitted plans to build 125 new homes in the Fife village of Coaltown of Wemyss.
If approved, the homes would be built on land to the south of the village’s Main Street.
The land was previously earmarked with planning permission in principle for a residential development, and developers are hopeful that this new move will be approved.
The development will feature a mix of two-to-four-bedroom houses, which will be a range of detached, semi-detached and terraced homes, The Courier reports.
A design statement submitted as part of the application said: “The proposal provides 125 new homes, including three affordable homes, set within a well-established and attractive landscape setting.
“It creates a new place which complements its existing setting, creating a welcoming and attractive neighbourhood within the southwest of Coaltown of Wemyss.”
The proposal was submitted to Fife Council this week, who will consider the plans in due course.
